August 14th Children's Ministry Newsletter

Dear Belmont Parents & Caregivers,

On August 22nd at 9:15am, we will gather for a Blessing Breakfast and Blessing of the Backpacks under the tent in between the community center and church. We will do the Blessing of the Backpacks and Sunday School information first, and then you are welcome to take a boxed pastry as you leave. We are asking that every person wear a mask regardless of vaccination status for the entirety of this event.

Sunday School Starts back on August 29th at 9:15am! We look forward to welcoming children back! More details to follow.

Please make an announcement that says: Children's Choirs will begin on the evening of Wednesday, August 25th from 6:00-6:45pm and will meet outdoors with masks! Please contact Amy Cooper with any questions (amy@belmontumc.org).

The Children's Ministry is in need of assistant teachers for our 3-5 year olds and 1st-2nd grade classes this fall. Our Sunday School year runs from August 29th, 2021-May 2022. We will be meeting in person; training will be provided! If you can only serve for 2 weeks a month, that's great! Please prayerfully consider serving. For questions or to help, please contact Pastor Kate. Your love and service will be appreciated as we fulfill our baptismal vows to our youngest Belmonters!

A reminder that masks are required for all persons (vaccinated or unvaccinated) at indoor children's ministry events.

Belmont's Nursery is Re-opened!

Childcare is open on Sunday mornings in the Weekday School hall on the first floor for ages birth-5 years from 9:00-11:45am.
Here is a registration form for children 5 and under.
We will be following COVID safety guidelines as followed by the Belmont Weekday School

Cry Room is Re-opened!
If you are attending the 10:30am service, you are welcomed to use the Cry Room if needed. If you are looking at the altar, the Cry Room can be accessed through the doors directly left of the altar. Walk up the few stairs and you will walk straight into the Cry Room. There you can watch the livestream of the service, as well as utilize the changing table and toys! Also, please know that we consider children's noises in the service as part of our worship of God; however, please feel welcomed to use the Cry Room as needed. Additionally, there are rocking chairs in the back of the sanctuary that parents are welcome to use to rock children during the service. Lastly, there is a Children's library bookshelf when entering the sanctuary from the Iris Room lobby; here children can pick up books to read during the service. No check out process needed, just return the books back to the shelf after the service. We will sanitize the books regularly.
